The difference in explosive damage was around 20 damage when the perk card was slotted and when it was not. Without Demolition Expert, with Rank 1 Demo Expert and rank 5 Demo Expert, it took around 6 shots to kill the Super Mutant.
With the AA/E Gatling gun, I was able to kill level 75 Super Mutants with the same amount of shots regardless of Demolition Expert. I tested against level 75 Super Mutants the entire time, always shooting the torso as headshots with explosive weapons doesnt work very well.
Before running the test I removed all damage boosting perks except the Heavy Gunner perks. The outcome might be different with for other people and weapons, take rifles for instance. I ran this test solely with two heavy weapons, an Anti Armor Explosive Gatling gun and an Anti Armor Explosive. If the perk works well for you, or you have any feedback for me, please let me know. My testing method was nowhere near as fool proof as something Angry Turtle may have conducted, but it gave me a decent idea what the return factor was.īefore I state my findings, I want to say that I am not entirely certain of them and Im sure many people have had different experiences.
